Antique Suffragette emerald, pearl and garnet floral cluster ring in 18kt yellow gold. Centrally set with a rectagular mixed cut emerald in a cut down setting, bordered by six natural pearls in grain settings and flanked by two cushion shape mixed cut garnets in cutdown settings, to an elegant flower design with bespoke settings and granulation details, the trumpeting shoulders feature intricate carved decoration before smoothing to a solid shank.
The colors green, white, and violet were often used in acrostic jewelry during this period, symbolically connected to the Suffragette movement. Women fighting for the right to vote frequently wore these colors, as the acronym "GWV" stood for "Give Women Votes."
