Victorian sapphire and diamond coronet cluster engagement ring

Victorian sapphire and diamond coronet cluster engagement ring in 18kt yellow gold. Centrally set with a cushion shape mixed cut sapphire in a slightly raised claw setting, encircled by a row of cushion shape Old Mine cut diamonds in claw and grain settings, to a striking cluster ring with fine claws and intricately pierced gallery, altered in 1934 to add an internal wedding band engraved to the inner 'Lembrança di ues 4-12-934' and fitted to top of the band with a thinner raised band which continues to the reverse. Estimated total diamond weight 1.35cts.
